Meditation is commonly understood as a means for relaxing, relieving stress, and healing. But these are only the beginning level benefits. Once your receptive skills are realized you can began accessing capacities you may not have believed possible. Seeing clearly, you begin to see how experience has been defined and limited by your conditioning. Seeing that conditioning is a doorway to limitless possibilities.

The FIRST STEPS course is designed to provide foundational qualities for developing a mind that is pliable and open to change and new possibilities, for expanding the way you use and understand mind. You will develop skills that will support the possibility of making every day and any experience more interesting and for creating deeply satisfying life. FIRST STEPS is a month long course, divided into 4 weekly units. It is preparation for bringing the dynamic possibilities of meditation to bear on your professional, as well as personal, life.

This course was originally created for people who did not want to wait for a teacher to lead a course. It offers you the opportunity to get started right away, develop skills on your own for greater awareness and balance of mind.
